This printer is terrible. It always has connectivity issues and it is constantly jamming. Worst mistake i made for my business. We have to keep it off until we get a customer otherwise it keeps printing no host receipts and it jams. Called star micronics they said it was probably an issue on my end. WRONG! MY other register, which is hooked up by same switch board, has an Epson printer and it gives no issues. Do not buy this printer for your business. Go with an Epson. Same amount of $, no problems.
A best seller, the Star mPOP combines both a cash drawer and receipt printer into a Bluetooth-enabled, compact unit. The mPOP is perfect for low-mid volume vendors who are looking for a simple, integrated point of sale solution.
Star has also added a USB type A connector to the bottom of the printer. This is a bonus mPOS users who can use it to power or charge tablets and mobile devices. Like previous models, the TSP100III comes standard with a guillotine auto-cutter and “drop-in & print” paper loading to accommodate even the busiest restaurants and retail locations.
The ZINK technology uses a unique color forming molecular structure. These molecules get activated when you subjected to heat inside the printer. Absolutely no external ink is used. These results in stunningly deep and vibrant colors that are smudge proof. The papers are resistant to water, are tear resistant and also dry to touch ensuring absolutely smudge proof results straight out of the printer.
Great product and great company to work with. I at first ordered the TSP143U which is a USB Printer to work with a Tablet to set up a POS system at my business. Once I got it, I realized that if I had the printer plugged into the tablet there was no additional port to then charge the tablet. I contacted the company and they gladly accepted my return and let me reorder this LAN Printer. I highly recommend this vendor and their product.
Square Register Bluetooth Printer, Star Micronics SM-T300i Mobile Printer, 3 Inch Rugged Portable Printer, MFI Certified, iOS, Android, Windows, Tear-Bar, Bluetooth 2.0/Serial, No MSR, Grey Color Case, Includes Belt Clip, Serial Cable, Lithium Ion Battery Pack, AC Adapter/Charger, Sample Roll Paper, LCD Display, Set-Up Sheet, SM-T300i-DB50 – 39631810
Overall, seems to be a decent printer to use with an iPad-based point of sale system. However, after about 3 weeks, the printer stopped cutting the receipts & went into an error mode that the owner’s manual said was “non-recoverable”. I contacted Star Micronics customer service & shipped to their repair facility. They got it back to me within 3-4 days & everything was covered under the warranty, minus the cost to ship the printer to them. So far, it seems to be working as expected since I got it back from being repaired. Perhaps I just got a bad one that came off the assembly line & somehow managed to slip through quality control.
Everything you need to get started taking in orders and money (except the iPad and the cash for the till!). Includes, Square credit card reader, receipt printer with Ethernet interface, 2 rolls of receipt paper, 13″ wide cash drawer with till, and all cables for connecting the printer and cash drawer.
Have not purchased this printer, but wanted to let people know that this is not the only printer that will work with Square. I have two Star Micronics printers, one Ethernet and one Bluetooth and both work fine with the Square app for iPad. I also have Ethernet based cash drawers that connect through the printers and those works just as well. This probably has the easiest set up, but it is not the only way.
Fujifilm Instax Share Smartphone Printer SP-1 provides a quick and very easy printing process directly from the iPhone using WiFi network and the INSTAX Share App, which is compatible with iOS devices versions 5.0 and above. It makes use of Instax Mini Instant Film, and two lithium batteries. The batteries can produce up to 100 prints per set.
The Kitchen Buzzer connects directly the RJ11 port on the back of the printer. The buzzer sounds when a print job is sent to the TSP100. This is beneficial for high noise environments like kitchens to alert cooks that orders have been sent.
It is compatible with PictBridge and Canon PRINT. The device is also compatible with AirPrint. That means you can print without issues from all of your apple devices. As a bonus, the printer comes with an Access Point mode as well. This ensures that even in the event you are somewhere without a wireless network you can still make prints.
This latest addition to the TSP100 Series provides a range of new features including a high print speed of 250mm/second, a guillotine auto cutter (cutter life 2 million cuts) as well as thin paper capability providing benefits not only for the environment but also the user’s operating costs.

Pros: Good print quality. Comprehensive, easy-to-use label design and print mobile app. Strong selection of label types in several color schemes, including fabric iron-on labels. Runs on AC or battery power. Good value for the price.
A more affordable bluetooth-enabled option from Epson’s receipt printer line is the TM-T20II C31CD52566. While it is less expensive than the TM-T88V, is maintains Epson’s classic reliability. This product is well suited for small or medium sized businesses, retail establishments, and sit-down restaurants.
