The lightweight SM-S220i is built to handle the stress and bumps of day-to-day use. A belt-clip secures the printer to you or your employees, minimizing the risk of drops. However, the 9-ounce printer can withstand 4-foot drops, so it should hold up to accidents with few issues. A 1-year warranty is standard on the printer, making the Star SM-S220i a smart and reliable mobile printing option.
Buying this combo and getting each Square POS piece individually was much cheaper than buying it from Square as part of their whole POS system. Plus, we were able to get our entire Square system in matching white. Cash box plugs into printer with a cable that looks like a phone cable, so it doesn’t require a USB port.
27320 On-The-Go Cable, 6 Inch Micro B male to USB A female, OTG, Connect a USB flash drive, mouse, keyboard or other USB device directly to a tablet, smartphone or other mobile device using USB On-The-Go (OTG) Technology
Nice little portable printer. It isn’t as slow as some of the reviewers mentioned, and we use it with Square, so it will print a custom photo-based logo right onto the receipt. One reviewer said you had to pay extra to remove the Star logo – this was not my experience, however. We bought the neck strap, and a padded camera-type case to carry the printer, power supply, extra battery, Square card readers.
Dust protected & splash-proof resistant (IP54Certified), the SM-T300i is rugged enough for outside field workers requiring handhelds to seamlessly print from a mobile device to a durable portable mobile receipt printer
This printer is fast. Thermal printers print very fast, and the internals are actually much simpler than the ones at my work. You simply open it up, drop the paper inside (yes, it’s a drop in, which makes it much easier to replace the roll once it has run out) and then feed the paper over the top.
Star Micronics’ TSP100IIIWLAN is the faster, easier, and better solution for POS receipt printing. With WiFi connectivity, simple “Push ‘n’ Connect” WPS set-up, and high-speed printing of up to 43 receipts per minute, the TSP100III is perfect for any retail or hospitality environment.
Star’s printer solutions range from the TSP650 Resto Quebec, a high reliability and performance, low-cost thermal printer, which is certified by the Revenu Quebec, to the FVP-10, a platform designed, front exit printer which features a platform cover to increase counter space, is under counter mountable and boasts a paper saving receipt compression tool.
Edit to say that the network issues I mentioned were tied to the wireless router we were using. Replaced that piece and the printer started working great. I still recommend purchasing as a package for better price and customer service, but not a bad piece of equipment.
Connectable with host devices via Bluetooth or USB interface (Dual interface). Connectable with tablets and other peripheral devices designated by Star Micronics via each of the 4 type A USB ports (0.5A x 2 / 1.5A x 2).

This is a fantastic product, worked as expected with tons of options and the ability to configure settings is very handy. Everything installed properly and it works despite not having a dedicated POS server! The ability to reduce receipt size has been a huge thing for us. Only issue we ran into was an issue on our side of things not fully uninstalling our old drivers, but once we did a full uninstall it worked like a dream. The ability of the printer to cut the receipt off for us has been a big help and makes them look much more professional over all and speeds things up considerably more than we expected.
