So, this is not your typical home/home office printer. But if you love printing photos from time to time you would love this printer.

Both the Square and the app on the phone are easy to use. I just used the Square at an event, and it allowed me to take credit cards, making sales I otherwise would have missed. I love that it fits in my purse. Since I always carry a couple copies of my book around, I might use it sometime. They make pouches for it, but I’m using the plastic container that Extra gum comes in (It’s perfect: slim and durable).

Hi, Travis from POSGuys.com. Today we’ll be reviewing the M series of printers from Epson. This is the TM-M30 and the TM-M10 receipt printers. They’re both thermal receipt printers, they’re similar form factor where they’re very square. This is the 3-inch version, this is the 2-inch version. By 3-inch version, this means this uses standard receipt printer of 3 inch width, and this uses a 2 inch, smaller receipt paper. They’re both top load or front load, this is set into front-load version, this is set in to top-load version. They print at a reasonable rate, this is an 8-inch per second, and this is a 6-inch per second. The 8-inch per second is the same as the current model TM-T20ii version, so it’s the same print speed, it’s just a much more compact form factor.
Square can be used with Android smartphones and tablets in the form of the Square magnetic stripe card reader. It works in tandem with the Square Point of Sale app, which is available for free in the Google Play store. The Square Stand is not an option for Android devices, it is only available for iPad.

If you want an extremely portable model that fits in your pocket and connects to iOS, Android, and Windows devices this is the way to go. For connecting with mobile devices you’ll need an app if you want to print receipts, and for Windows computers you’ll need to download a driver and connect it via USB.
The TSP143III is the faster, easier, and better POS printing solution. Already a leading player in the mPOS market, Star Micronics’ TSP143III is offered with WLAN, LAN, Bluetooth, or USB interface connection for an easy-to-use and ready-to-go installation. The TSP143III now offers a web configuration page for the WLAN and LAN TSP143III printers, a simpler wat for all devices to connect to the WLAN printer for set-up with AP mode, an easy Bluetooth pairing connection, and a “plug and play” USB connection. For the USB version, there will be a new USB serial number feature so the PC will detect the TSP143IIIU on its Windows platform using any USB port. PayPal Here supports the following Star Micronics or Epson receipt printers with either an Ethernet or Bluetooth connection . The choice on which PayPal Here POS hardware to use depends on your device type (Apple or Android) and your preference.
The Square stand is very durable and to my surprise heavier than it looks. The swivel mount is built into the bottom of the device and conceals the power cord. This cord is connected to a 3 port USB module that will allow users to connect up to three separate POS devices in addition to connections with wireless LAN POS devices like receipt and label printers. Although not official, the Square stand can hold an iPad Air 2 pretty perfectly. I would suggest placing a small foam dot or so, just so that it is seamless to the stands edges. All in all, this is a great start-up POS system and highly customizable to any operation. I would recommend this product to any small business.
Bought it to print off my Square register with an iPad Air and it worked perfectly right out of the box! No driver download, no ink to mess with – plugged it in, plugged in the USB printer cable (mine WAS included) added paper, went back to previous sales and hit print receipt & a nice clean receipt slid out the top. Seems very commercial grade & well designed. This is kind of a 5 star review for both this printer and the square register since they go together so seamlessly. Very nice.
a great product. light and portable, easy set up plus fast printing speed. works great with my ios. It’s a perfect choice for a small restaurant to print receipt. Planning to buy more spools for future usage.

– Okey so i opened the box and found the free pack of paper in there ready to be put inside. This is probably the only tricky part of this whole thing. Once you put the paper inside as shown in instructions on the pack, you are ready to go.

I do not recommend the paper Amazon recommends to purchase together as it is only 10 rolls for $9 and the rolls will usually complete only 30 orders. Purchase longer rolls for much cheaper. I have ordered some, the seller has assured me that it can hold rolls up to 2.25″ length and 1.8″ diameter. I will update my review of they do fit.
Retailers can also take advantage of the futurePRNT software tools available with the entire TSP100 Series. Near-dedicated photo printers, at least the ones at the consumer level, are aimed at serious amateur photographers. They offer professional-level output quality, can typically print at sizes up to 13 by 19 inches, and often demand a reasonable level of sophistication to get the best results.
The best thing about the Polaroid ZIP Mobile is its portable sleek design. It is designed as a mobile printer and its dimensions give it away. It measures 2.9 x 4.7 x 0.9″ and weighs just about 6.6 ounces. This, and the fact that it has its own rechargeable battery is why you can pretty much take it with you anywhere you want to. Just slip it in your bag and you are ready to go. The built-in battery charges in about 1.5 hours. On a full charge, you can print about 25 sheets. It takes less than a minute to print one photo.
The Polaroid ZIP Mobile Printer is a great polaroid photo printer for iPhone that can provide compact high-quality 2×3 photographs that are both smudge-proof and tear-proof. Furthermore, the pictures come with a sticky back so they can easily be stuck to surfaces.
I wasn’t sure of your iPad model, so I may not have answered fully your question. And what I wrote only applies to the iPad, not the iPad Air. Here’s a Square Support page that talks about iPad compatibility: Recommended Hardware for Square Stand.

Highest marks on the TSP100III because of the multi-platform adoption and performance. This printer works with Windows, does Star and Epson emulations (set in driver), but the ethernet version is the most commonly used printer with iOS point of sale applications (Star, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch). Along with it’s 10+ ips print speed it is a great overall printer that will fit most point of sale printing needs.

Star Micronics’ TSP650II AirPrint will soon be on Apple’s AirPrint certified devices list.
It’s been about three years since I excepted credit cards. The last device I used was pogo through provident bank. Which did not work out at all. The Device made an error and it was fixed but I lost $700 in the process due to processing fees but they refused to refund me. The problem is there’s too many hands involved and they have you on the phone going in circles. The evil leader being First Data they just kept eating money out of my account and I was helpless and could not stop it. So This left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. But after working for a few years I started to lose customers because I did not except credit card so I decided if square a chance. And I started taking credit cards. I have processed roughly $11,000 in three days for deposits on jobs and some payments. I was watching my account getting ready for to be deposited. After three days nothing. Did not realize that square tried to contact me because of the large amount of transactions and they put a hold on my account. I thought to myself here we go again. They requested a list of documents and proof of identity. I thought it would take weeks for them to process it. By 12 o’clock the next day they processed it and released the funds. That impressed me. And ever since it has been great. Money is quick about 12-24 hours. So give them a shot. They deserve it.

The Star TSP143iiiU is a great value, USB thermal receipt printer. Connect to your Windows, Mac or uniquely your iOS device (iPad, iPhone) to print customer receipts with the included printer drivers.
Overall, seems to be a decent printer to use with an iPad-based point of sale system. However, after about 3 weeks, the printer stopped cutting the receipts & went into an error mode that the owner’s manual said was “non-recoverable”. I contacted Star Micronics customer service & shipped to their repair facility. They got it back to me within 3-4 days & everything was covered under the warranty, minus the cost to ship the printer to them. So far, it seems to be working as expected since I got it back from being repaired. Perhaps I just got a bad one that came off the assembly line & somehow managed to slip through quality control.

I have this update and my stand never connects everything on the first try. Well 1/5 maybe. You always to leave the register app and go back it for it to recognize everything. A bit of a hassle. I have done all the checks and are waiting for a solution.

I bought this printer in September, it’s now May and it’s broken. I wouldn’t suggest. We’re not a super busy business, we print maybe 15 receipts a day just to sign credit cards. We don’t print receipts for clients we email them. And it’s broken beyond repair.
The free Square Dashboard app works in sync with Square Point of Sale and lets you view your live sales data in seconds. You can access powerful analytics, and easy tools to help you track and improve your business.
I use this with Square Register on a Samsung Galaxy Note (3 ?). Once it’s set up it plugs right into the USB On The Go adapter, app detects the printer, and I can print my customers their receipt! Very professional looking instead of just a text message or email URL, which many of our customers wouldn’t really know how to use. It seems like a high price to pay for such a small seemingly simple device but so far it appears to be a sturdy, lasting machine. A package of receipt paper lasts a long time. If things fall through it has a high resale value as opposed to some other devices (just check out eBay and Amazon used).
