Bottom Line: The Kodak Photo Printer Mini is a tiny printer that can be slipped in a pocket for easy wallet-size prints from mobile devices. Just beware that those prints are going to cost you much more …

There’s no such thing as a dedicated or near-dedicated photo printer all-in-one, but some dedicated photo printers add functions beyond printing. Most include menus with basic editing features that let you crop an image, remove redeye, and the like. A few add so many editing choices that they’re essentially home photo kiosks, often including a large touch screen to let you easily give commands. These often also add features like the ability to scan slides and film negatives. Some also include enough memory to store hundreds of photos, so you can bring the printer with you, show the photos, and print them out on the spot. Some dedicated photo printers are built into other kinds of devices, like cameras.
The Star TSP100ECO receipt printer features advanced power management circuitry to reduce power consumption by as much as 75 percent when compared to standard Star printers. Most POS printers use power even when not in use; however, this Energy Star compliant thermal receipt printer will activate only when the PC or terminal is powered up. It remains in a low-powered standby mode and instantly wakes up when required.

This is a nice little battery powered mobile printer that prints your photographs from your tablets or phones that use Bluetooth. It has apps available for Apple products and Android products. Loading the paper was fast and easy and printing out photos is simple. I show how to load the paper and print photos in my attached video.
Atm it’s cheaper for me to use something else other than square, than to change the printer tablet setup. It appears other people have similar issues. Square managment need to grasp the economics here of only catering to a small hardware segment(Star printers) of the market, while marketing themselves as a simple DIY eftpos POS for small businesses, who burn themselves on compatability issues. Hopefully Square can solve this issue.
Pros: Portable. Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and USB connectivity. Rechargeable battery. 50-sheet input tray. Output quality better than many desktop inkjets. High claimed page yields for print cartridges. Prints from USB thumb drives. Lighter than its predecessor. Fast photo printing.
The SM-T300i also offers 3” (80mm) “Drop-In & Print” paper loading, high reliability (37 million lines MCBF) and high print speeds of up to 75mm per second; standard and 2D barcode support, intuitive LCD display easy setup facility, configurable auto power down mode and a long-lasting battery life.
This is a very compact printer. As a matter of fact, it fits perfectly inside a small bag. It weighs just 6.1 ounces. A lithium polymer battery powers the device making it truly mobile. It uses HP ZINK photo paper which means you never have to change cartridges ever. These papers are smudge free, water resistant and extremely durable. The fact that they have a peel-off back means you don’t need irritating glue-sticks to work with. Perfect for school projects.
The printer is compact, prints clearly, and has absolutely no issue when printing a receipt for my Square sales. The fact that it is blue tooth meant I could put it anywhere in my home office that was convenient and not tied down by the length of a USB cord otherwise. I have it linked up to an old iPhone 4s phone and run credit cards using Square and print receipts easily. I’m so pleased that I paid some more money and got the blue tooth version.
