The enable and disable commands control whether a printer prints or stops printing requests that are in the print queue. When you disable a printer, the printer stops printing requests in the queue. However, requests are still added to the queue. You must set the printer to reject print requests so that requests are not added to the queue. For information about rejecting print requests, see Accepting or Rejecting Print Requests.

I got it for scrapbooking and a travel journal. Don’t expect high quality and res prints, it’s a tiny mobile printer after all. If you want high quality prints, mobile printers aren’t what you’re looking for. I did extensive research to compare between the Polaroid ZIP, Instax Share, HP Sprocket and Kodak and image quality, yellow/reddish vintage-like hues and lower res images seem to be the prevalent complaint. I settled on Polaroid because the app allowed collages and white frames for the polaroid effect. It seemed to have better options than the other apps.

This receipt printer is great, but what really makes it 5 stars is star micronics customer service and warranty repair. I had a small issue with one of these printers having a tiny broken piece amd star was quick to help fix the issue amd send the printer back in record time. Some of the best people to deal with. When you buy this printer you have the peace of mind that it will last and/or get fixed for you for at least 5 years.
The brand NEW addition to our TSP100 line, the TSP143III is twice as fast and includes a new easy setup technology for effortless connection to your tablet. That paired with the new de-curl function and “drop-in & print” paper loading makes the TSP143III the best POS printer on the market.

Star’s printer solutions range from the TSP650 Resto Quebec, a high reliability and performance, low-cost thermal printer, which is certified by the Revenu Quebec, to the FVP-10, a platform designed, front exit printer which features a platform cover to increase counter space, is under counter mountable and boasts a paper saving receipt compression tool.
So in the scheme of “would we buy these printers?” it comes down to would we buy these instead of other Epson printers? I would probably recommend the T20II the most out of all the printers, I think for the price and features and warranty, the T20II is your best bet. If you are worried about space though, take a look at the M series, especially the M10, it’s very very small compared to older receipt printers. The styling on both of these are better than the T20II. If you’re looking for just pure performance, pure reliability, pure speed, the T88V is still your best bet. So that’s kind of the Epson overview of all their printers. Good printers, probably at this time not their best printers, but they are space saving options, and there are some unique pairing capabilities, so if you’re on a tablet or something like that and you don’t have a USB port, then take a look and see if a proper interface is available for you. To purchase these printers, or for more information, please visit us at POSGuys.com. Thanks!

If you are buying this for the Amazon Local Register payment platform, be sure to get the Ethernet version (not the USB version). This one only connects to your network and not directly to a computer.
There was a lot of negative reviews on the app that apparently made it unusable or clunky to use but they have a new app or updated version following the bad reviews. Look for ‘Polaroid Zip’ app which worked fine for me printing over 20 photos in multiple sessions for my scrapbook.
I’ve only had it up and running for a couple of weeks now, but it prints and cuts the receipts well and have yet to have any problems with it. Drivers disc makes setting up and installing a snap, and it comes with any/all necessary cables. It even comes with a mount for wall mounting, but in looking at it I’m not sure how you would do that or even why someone might want to 🙂
The TSP650II BTi’s “Just Works” SSP profile makes the pairing process very simple to use. It allows for a quick connection without the hassle of a passkey or having to choose between iOS and Android modes. In addition, the TSP650II includes the ability to print receipts or data from a web browser-based application running on a mobile device wirelessly by configuring Star’s WebPRNT Browser.
Compatible with multiple operating systems (Windows®, Android™, Linux, iOS), the SM-S220i is approved by Apple Inc. with MFi certification. The SM-S220i features easy set-up with simple front panel control allowing configuration for MFi or SPP modes.

Wanted a simple cheap way to take card payments so came across the above companies. I suppose i can just do what i do now and not produce any receipts but when customers pay by card and then not get a receipt for the card payment they might get a bit suspicious…

Overall, seems to be a decent printer to use with an iPad-based point of sale system. However, after about 3 weeks, the printer stopped cutting the receipts & went into an error mode that the owner’s manual said was “non-recoverable”. I contacted Star Micronics customer service & shipped to their repair facility. They got it back to me within 3-4 days & everything was covered under the warranty, minus the cost to ship the printer to them. So far, it seems to be working as expected since I got it back from being repaired. Perhaps I just got a bad one that came off the assembly line & somehow managed to slip through quality control.
