Reliable product. It configures with Square register and Ipad stand. I already had a pair with my original POS square system. When I went to get another for my other store location I got the same product as it worked well and pairs well with square. If it works don’t fix it, so I got the same again.
There are a lot of iPhone photo printer options available. In fact, the choices can often get quite overwhelming. To help make your decision easier, we’ve compiled a list of the top 12 iPhone photo printers available, along with their core components, features, and pros and cons.
For this particular setup, you’ll need to create a printer station. Printer stations let you designate specific tasks for your printers, like printing receipts, tickets, or stubs. With your printer plugged in, go to Settings, Printers, and Create Printer Station. Enter a printer station name. Now select what you’d like your printer to print. Make sure you select at least one option. Then tap the printer selection menu and select your printer. Test your printer by tapping Test Print. Then, tap Save. Your printer station settings are now saved and can be applied to any connected printer.

@usascottwright – While we don’t currently support Epson printers, it’s definitely a popular feature request. I’ll update this thread if that changes in the future! Also, apologies for the delay in following up with you.
The Kitchen Buzzer connects directly the the RJ11 port on the back of the printer. The buzzer sounds when a print job is sent to the TSP100. This is beneficial for high noise environments like kitchens to alert cooks that orders have been sent.

Want to use your iPhone as a point-of-sale (POS) system for your business? Getting started is easy, and processing transactions isn’t rocket science either. But with the plethora of mobile credit card processors available, the biggest challenge is choosing which one is right for your business.
Hi @McNabbGames — I went ahead and combined your thread with another seller’s who had a similar question. I can assure you that we’re always looking into more affordable hardware options for our sellers. As for the technical explanation, from my limited understanding (I’m not an engineer), each printer manufacturer has a specific driver for their hardware, and since manufacturers don’t build printer drivers for Square Point of Sale, we would have to build one for each printer model – which is something we don’t have the bandwidth to do.
The ZINK technology uses a unique color forming molecular structure. These molecules get activated when you subjected to heat inside the printer. Absolutely no external ink is used. These results in stunningly deep and vibrant colors that are smudge proof. The papers are resistant to water, are tear resistant and also dry to touch ensuring absolutely smudge proof results straight out of the printer.

A small handful of portable all-in-one printers—which can print, scan, and copy while being compact enough to easily fit in a travel bag—are available, too. If you can’t do without both a printer and a scanner while on the road, now you no longer have to worry about lugging around two separate devices.
Sturdy, good battery, good-looking receipts, very portable and adaptable as it uses Bluetooth. (Oddly, it also has an old-fashioned serial port for hard-wiring, rather than USB.) Unfortunately, at least with Shopify, there is about a 10-second delay from the sale until it starts printing the receipt. It’s at least 5 seconds too long as you awkwardly wait with the customer for their receipt. It uses small paper rolls that don’t last very long and are extremely difficult to find (online only). The other con is that like most receipt printers, it’s quite expensive for what it does.
The Star TSP143IIILAN futurePRNT thermal POS printer also includes all standard operating system drivers (Windows™, Linux™ and Mac™) and specialty drivers such as OPOS™ and JPOS™. Star has also included a number of embedded simple utilities that will enhance Retail or Hospitality in POS applications.
UPDATE: August 14, 2016 – Still no issues with printing. There is a slight delay, about five seconds, between completing the transaction and printing the receipt. This could very well be an issue using Square Payment Systems, and not really the printer and the IPad that I’ve linked it to for Square sales. The printer does lose its Bluetooth connection when I move the IPad to the next room, which is expected, but it often does not “find” and then “pair” again without me going through the printer’s pairing process again. For that reason, I’m lowering my star rating from five to four. In the scheme of things, this is just a minor inconvenience and the printer quality more than makes up for any issues with pairing from time to time.
If you own a food-truck, this is perfect for you. It’s been a life saver! No more need for buying ticket books and writing down orders. When you pair this with Square, it’s a match made in heaven. The battery lasts for about 8 hours on a single charge. And in case of emergency, a 1 hour charge will last about 4 hours.
Having a quick and reliable printer is crucial for any retail and restaurant business. Boasting a print speed of 43 receipts per second, and the guillotine styled auto-cutter, transactions will always end with a brisk print and clean cut. Adding the drop in paper loading and AllReceipts digital receipt app, the TSP100III is a must have for mobile point of sale.
I use this with Square Register on a Samsung Galaxy Note (3 ?). Once it’s set up it plugs right into the USB On The Go adapter, app detects the printer, and I can print my customers their receipt! Very professional looking instead of just a text message or email URL, which many of our customers wouldn’t really know how to use. It seems like a high price to pay for such a small seemingly simple device but so far it appears to be a sturdy, lasting machine. A package of receipt paper lasts a long time. If things fall through it has a high resale value as opposed to some other devices (just check out eBay and Amazon used).
Using the Star “Keep Alive” Feature, the TSP143LAN will negotiate with any networked host and automatically print an error if the connection is lost due to PC / Hub failure or cable damage with immediate warning to the remote location that the printer is offline.

More broadly, what do you want to print from? Most dedicated photo printers can print from a computer over a USB connection, but they’re really meant as standalone devices. Most newer models come with Wi-Fi connectivity. Most print directly from PictBridge cameras and memory cards. (Make sure the printer is compatible with the memory card format you want to use.) Nearly as many models can print from USB thumb drives. A few print from internal memory, but you need to transfer the files to the memory first, so find out what connection you need to use to transfer the photos. Finally, some can connect by Bluetooth to print from smartphones and other Bluetooth devices.
If its a usb Star printer like ours, the answer is simple, the Square hub & cables suck. We’ve already replace ours once under warantee and currently are operating without our printer being active 98% of the time. If we can be bothered to unplug all the USB connections from the hub and unplug/plug the hub power back in, things will probably work for a while, but the bottomline is the cables/hub are poor and probably are shorting.
The Polaroid ZIP Mobile with ZIN or Zero Ink is one of the best portable photo printers around. Why? Because Polaroid has been synonymous with the term instant photo prints and more so because of the Zero Ink (ZINK) technology.

The printer works great with my Samsung Galaxy tab and it’s wireless which saves on space. Use only the ethernet cable that Star sells though. When I ordered the one that Amazon recommended, it was the wrong type.
This is such a life saver!! Of course you can get a card reader from the company for free, but I wanted two of them and I could not find a better deal than this! I purchased this for business reasons but also used it at a yard sale and it worked wonderfully (and allowed for sales that would not have happened otherwise). Highly recommend!
The Kodak Dock is a great iPhone photo printer which allows you to print photographs directly from your smartphone device. It produces high-quality images at 4” x 6” dimensions, using an advanced patent dye sublimation printing technique in combination with a photo preservation layer, the latter to prevent the photographs from smudge, tears, or damage. It also comes with a docking system which can charge your devices as you wait for the prints. You can use the free Kodak Photo Printer App to add templates, make collages, and edit the output image.
This printer comes with a disk. If you are using it with an Ipad, the disk is useless. The only thing I am disappointed with at this point is that I can not print by business logo on my receipts. This is not a downfall of the printer but the program that I am using. This printer prints the business logo ‘”IF” you are using a Mac or Windows based POS system.
