You can add your logo and text to your receipt. This is done with software that is included with the receipt printer. By adding your logo to your receipts you have a place to advertise your business. You can also put your phone number on your receipt or your website URL. This is a good thing to do if you’re selling at a craft show, fair, farmers market and etc. The customer may not remember your name and may not go online to search for your website. But if you put your website on the receipt you have a better chance of the customers visiting your website to make a purchase.

Unless proven otherwise, I agree. And in my business, giving a client a receipt on what amounts to a piece of adding machine paper is unprofessional. I should be able to use any printer that is compatible with the iPad, not just the uni-tasker receipt printers.

I am still trying my best to use it. My POS system doesn’t support Star. and now I am having the common problem that I am dealing with Star tech support, they are still working on it to solve the problem, which is it doesn’t print out All Receipts bar-codes on my machine even from their own configuration utility, can’t use Receipt Flip, it doesn’t cut off the receipt automatically, doesn’t print out my full store name in every other receipt, and sometimes the receipt goes out 2 feet long.

For this particular setup, you’ll need to create a printer station. Printer stations let you designate specific tasks for your printers, like printing receipts, tickets, or stubs. With your printer plugged in, go to Settings, Printers, and Create Printer Station. Enter a printer station name. Now select what you’d like your printer to print. Make sure you select at least one option. Then tap the printer selection menu and select your printer. Test your printer by tapping Test Print. Then, tap Save. Your printer station settings are now saved and can be applied to any connected printer.
To create your own bar codes and labels, you’ll need to use a third-party application. At the moment, we don’t support bar code and label printers and can’t guarantee compatibility, but many customers have success using the DYMO Label Writer 450 and labels with Square.

You don’t need to screw around with the extra settings, just turn on the cash drawer before/After print and be done. All of that coupon set up, barcode stuff on there is good but is best to use within your software development for better control but it too is useful. I use code 3-9 and scanner picks it right up for my transaction numbers. Really solid receipt printer. Less expensive than 90% of the machines in its class, but it holds its own without an issue. Installation was slightly more involved than other reviewers had let on (it helps to know which port you’re connecting this through), but overall it was still pretty simple to get working. Just make sure that you don’t have an old version of the Epson receipt print driver on your computer, as this can cause the installation to fail.
POS printers and accessories allow you to enhance the functionality of your existing point-of-sale hardware. These devices add the ability to display pricing to your customers or create a printed receipt for each transaction. This promotes solid customer service experiences.
I spent years in jobs that included lots of cash handling. This cash drawer is the nicest I’ve seen. It’s solid build will last for years and its finish is just lovely. It triggers cleanly and the drawer all but shoots out when triggered. I’m very pleased.

It uses thermal paper so you never never need to fill it with ink. It is generally easy to maintain and add paper when you need it. So this is a printer that works well in a wide variety of environments. However, if you are in a kitchen or some area where the air is moist you may want to get an impact printer as thermal paper does not work well in moist environments where there is little ventilation.
