Hi – thanks for the info about Heckler. We plan to order their stand for the mini iPad. I understand that there is a square reader/swipe for $29 that plugs into the iPad. We don’t need the touch less system at $49. Am I correct and will it work fine with the iPad mounted into the Heckler holder?
The HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer is a great iPhone photo printer which allows you to print photographs directly from social networking platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. You merely need to connect your social media account to the free Sprocket App and you can instantly produce high-quality images. It’s also Bluetooth compatible so during parties anyone can plug into it wirelessly and print their favorite moments. The prints come out in 2×3” sticky-back snapshots. It makes use of original HP ZINK Sticky-Backed print paper, so you don’t need to worry about cartridge refills.
For ISVs, this is the easiest and fastest way to integrate a printer with Apple software. Now with the TSP654II developers have another option available, in addition to the StarPRNT SDK, giving them more flexible printer control. Star Micronics’ TSP650II AirPrint will soon be on Apple’s AirPrint certified devices list.
The best thing about the Polaroid ZIP Mobile is its portable sleek design. It is designed as a mobile printer and its dimensions give it away. It measures 2.9 x 4.7 x 0.9″ and weighs just about 6.6 ounces. This, and the fact that it has its own rechargeable battery is why you can pretty much take it with you anywhere you want to. Just slip it in your bag and you are ready to go. The built-in battery charges in about 1.5 hours. On a full charge, you can print about 25 sheets. It takes less than a minute to print one photo.
Epson’s Mobilink P60II and TM- T88VI allows you to print directly from any mobile device and server. With the mobile connectivity, makes it easy to add web and mobile POS services to a traditional PC- based POS system.
This is a good printer but a bit slow, comes with no instructions and IS NOT BLUE TOOTH as stated, for my needs this was not needed. (If you need the IP address ) Turn off printer hold feed button till you hear one beep the release. All the information on the printer will then print.
The device works great. Our only issue is in the description. The description states that it is for iOS/Windows/Android. However when the unit arrived it states iOS only. We probably would not have ordered it knowing that.
The Square stand is very durable and to my surprise heavier than it looks. The swivel mount is built into the bottom of the device and conceals the power cord. This cord is connected to a 3 port USB module that will allow users to connect up to three separate POS devices in addition to connections with wireless LAN POS devices like receipt and label printers. Although not official, the Square stand can hold an iPad Air 2 pretty perfectly. I would suggest placing a small foam dot or so, just so that it is seamless to the stands edges. All in all, this is a great start-up POS system and highly customizable to any operation. I would recommend this product to any small business.

kWh = 195(This is if you printed 12 hours per day and left the printer idle for 12 hours a day for 365 days a year. Even if you printed continuously for 24 hours per day, 365 days a year you would use 333 kWh per year, which is still way less than a new inkjet printer.)
The Kitchen Buzzer connects directly the the RJ11 port on the back of the printer. The buzzer sounds when a print job is sent to the TSP100. This is beneficial for high noise environments like kitchens to alert cooks that orders have been sent.

I’m not sure why there are so many mixed up reviews and answers to the questions. I have two iPad without a square stand. This easily connected to my cash drawer and WiFi router. BOTH iPads are connected to the receipt printer and BOTH can print at the same time as well as open up my cash drawer. The receipt are thick enough to read and make orders off of and the font size is nice. If you take orders with your iPad but do not have a square stand and need a printer that will connect to multiply iPads this is what you are looking for!!
I got this device cuz i liked the concept of a portable printer that you take on the go. Also the fact that u get a quick zero ink pics., i really wanted to try that. I was not desapionted, actually i like this printer alot and my friends around me all go mouth open when they see it working. So heres my experience in this product so far.
It is a simple process all I can think is that square gets a percentage of royalties from their supported printer sales and thats why they are locking everything down to these ridiculously overpriced pieces of equipment.
Apple MFi certified and approved for use with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, Star’s TSP650II BTi receipt printer easily integrates into your iOS-based point-of-sale system. It couples the comfort of earlier products with the speed and connection options demanded in today’s fast-paced retail and restaurant environments.
If you’re considering a POS system to make it more convenient for your business to manage inventory and prices, you shouldn’t look any further. For the price, you can set up a fantastic FREE POS software with all the accessories such as the stand, receipt printer, cash drawer, barcode scanner, and EMV/chip reader for one upfront cost and not have to pay for your POS like some of these not so reputable POS sellers try to market to you. Even if you don’t use Square to process your cards (which is what Square truly wants you to do), the setup for a POS system with an iPad is second to none. The software gets constant updates, works flawlessly, and is FREE. I have no regrets about switching to the Square ecosystem for running my business and selling inventory. I occasionally use their card processing, but even if I didn’t, I’d still use the Square POS system and software. No regret here!
Near-dedicated photo printers, at least the ones at the consumer level, are aimed at serious amateur photographers. They offer professional-level output quality, can typically print at sizes up to 13 by 19 inches, and often demand a reasonable level of sophistication to get the best results.

The Polaroid ZIP Mobile with ZIN or Zero Ink is one of the best portable photo printers around. Why? Because Polaroid has been synonymous with the term instant photo prints and more so because of the Zero Ink (ZINK) technology.
Again, a first in the POS industry: A dedicated Ethernet printer, the TSP100LAN. The TSP100LAN brings all the attributes of the TSP100 including all parts and software being included in one box coupled with Ethernet connectivity!
Printer works great with Square after you manage to get it to connect. The very first thing you want to is to set dip switch #3 to off. To do this, locate the tiny plate on the bottom that is held on by a Philips screw and remove the plate. The dip switches are there. Then, after installing the wifi link device, connect it to your computer’s Ethernet using the included cord and configure the wifi adapter. Star Micronics suggests using the client mode. I had to use the bridge mode to get it to successfully connect to my hotspot. Don’t forget to change the password from the default setting, by clicking the System Tools on the menu while you’re setting it all up.
LOVE IT! Got it for my store, “The Curious Cauldron” (shameless plug) Just wish I ordered more of the correct printer paper.. I ordered one that said it was thermal paper and it was NOT.. so now I am stuck with 10 rolls of regular register paper.. ;-(
As VanKalkerFarms answer states, Point of Sale is not compatible with standard desktop printers at this time. A possible solution might be to view your receipts on your online Dashboard after the transaction is complete and you can print them from there on a desktop printer.

I’ve purchased several of these at various times for use with Square POS systems, haven’t had any problem with any of them. Our owner was very happy that it’s able to print our graphic logo on the receipts.
With dedicated photo printers, almost any inkjet or thermal dye printer will at least match the output quality you’ll typically see in drugstore prints. ZINK technology is currently limited to printers with either a 2-by-3- or 4-by-6-inch print size, and offers lower-quality output, which is best described as good enough for photos that will wind up in a wallet or behind a refrigerator magnet. Whatever printer you’re considering, be sure to check on the output quality before buying.
