Pay Pal says this is compatible, but the few reps I have spoken with are not really familiar enough to guide me through. My LG Optimus phone runs T-Mobile 4g. I connected stand alone router(LAN?) to printer. I am guessing there is a conflict and I need to disconnect 4g or whatever wifi is connected to phone in order to pick-up signal from LAN router, assuming I can’t receive two simultaneous signals. That would disconnect me from Pay Pal transaction. Don’t know what I missing, but so far it’s a lot of wasted time and money. There’s no customer service that I can find with printer and the user guide is scant. I’ll take another look at Star website, but don’t expect to find a solution there. A USB connection would have likely prevented many issues/

Square, that small white magnetic stripe card reader you see all over on iPads and smartphones, can make it easy to turn your smartphone or tablet into a portable point of sale station. Figuring out everything you need to set it up and use it, however, can be confusing. In this Square for Android Basics article, we talk about everything you need to know about using Square with an Android device. We’ll go over:
Dust protected and splash-proof resistant design (IP54 certified), 1.5m drop test reliable, the SM-T300i is the perfect solution for demanding Retail, Hospitality and Logistic environments; compatible with Apple, Android and Windows devices, allowing the user to seamlessly migrate to another OS if required
Star Cloud has the unique ability to transform shopping receipts into valuable digital transaction data. Data Facilitation allows retailers to transport that digital receipt data to third party partners or vendors who can offer a wide range of analytic  and shopper engagement services, such as loyalty programs. Through these services, retailers can gain unparalleled information about what, where and when shoppers buy to ultimately increase ROI.
iPad POS systems are feature-rich, affordable and easy to and use, but printing receipts from an Apple POS system can present a challenge for merchants. Although Apple offers its AirPrint® technology, which allows users to print photos and documents from any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, AirPrint wasn’t available for receipt printers.
The SM-T300i portable receipt printer is approved by Apple, Inc. through MFi certification for use with the Apple iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. In addition to its ability to pair with iOS, Android and other popular mobile platforms, the SM-T300i has easy drop in and print paper loading, a reliable and quick print speed of 75 mm per second, and an intuitive LCD display. Dust protected and splash-proof resistant (IP54 Certified), the SM-T300i is rugged enough for outside field workers requiring handhelds to seamlessly print from a mobile device to a durable portable printer. The SM-T300i also allows for restaurant servers and clerks working in demanding retail and hospitality environments to print standard three inch format receipts wherever they need to. Its rugged and splash proof design coupled with a long battery life makes the SM-T300i a welcomed option.

Is anyone else having issues with the receipt printer not working? It was working great and it stopped to work. The printer is currently turned on and when I go to settings/printers it says no printers selected and I cannot select the Star TSP printer. It is no longer showing up and saying No Printer (Station Disabled). Any ideas?
Bluetooth technology offers an easy way for merchants to setup a wireless point of sale solution operating in an mPOS ecosystem. Star Micronics has an extensive catalog of Bluetooth compatible products ranging from desktop receipt printers, portable receipt printers, impact kitchen printers, wide format printers, secure medical prescription printers and secure wireless cash management solutions. All Star Micronic Bluetooth receipt printers and Bluetooth cash drawers are dual chip Apple MFi certified with Bluetooth iOS support for iOS and all Apple iDevices as well at Bluetooth 2.1 support for Android and Windows-based mobile devices.
If its a usb Star printer like ours, the answer is simple, the Square hub & cables suck. We’ve already replace ours once under warantee and currently are operating without our printer being active 98% of the time. If we can be bothered to unplug all the USB connections from the hub and unplug/plug the hub power back in, things will probably work for a while, but the bottomline is the cables/hub are poor and probably are shorting.
This is an easy and entry level printer. Getting going is fast. The price is reasonable at generally less than $200. We rate this high for a receipt printer if you want something easy to use that does the job a thermal printer should do.

So I like the stand and it would get a 5 star review, but I’m not exactly sure that I got a brand new item or not. The product came in the most amazing package, would remind you of Apple…but on the front of the stand frame around the ipad there are tiny scratches, it’s not smooth like you’d expect something brand new to be. Also the swipe part that actually runs the card through, the plastic is ill fitting. You can squeeze the back wall of this part and the plastic is bulging out at least 1mm or two and you can see it’s not sitting flush with the rest of the stand…The seams should be spot on like they are with the rest of the stand…but they’re not. Would love to exchange it and give another stand a try, maybe I just got a funky one?
@ryan1 Thanks for the feedback and I’m sorry to hear you’re going through so much trouble! One of the reasons we don’t replace the cords alone is because often times the cord trouble is caused by a larger problem with the Square Stand itself.

There’s no need to wait in line or on someone else to develop your pics of the day. With this standalone mobile wireless printer, watch your digital images develop in less than a minute right in the moment.
Another nice touch is that they include a CD which allows you to customize the printer (add logos, sync with POS systems, custom data to add once the receipt is printed, etc). Keep in mind though, this customization works with certain POS systems, not all. On Square, I can’t tell the printer to print out all of the extra stuff since the POS for Square is very simplified.
