Printouts created using POS printers may include the business name, contact number, and address. This makes it easy for shoppers to remember where they bought items and return there for similar goods, providing an excellent marketing opportunity. Many POS printers also offer reverse-side printing, letting you add coupons or valuable tips and store policies to the back of each receipt.
Select items that are not included in ShippingPass will ship for free but with value shipping. Look for items sold by Walmart.com and marked with FREE shipping. You will also see this noted in checkout.
The ShippingPass assortment is continually being optimized. Products are added and removed for lots of reasons, but the main reason is to show items that we’re 100% sure we can deliver within the promised timeline.
POS printers and accessories allow you to enhance the functionality of your existing point-of-sale hardware. These devices add the ability to display pricing to your customers or create a printed receipt for each transaction. This promotes solid customer service experiences.

IP Address 0.0.0.0 and/or “Didn’t obtain” will indicate that the printer is not connected to your network. This may be due to a physical disconnection of the Ethernet cord either from the back of the printer, or from your network device(s). Verify that the Ethernet cord is securely connected to both the Ethernet port on the back of the printer, and to a network device (typically a router, network switch, or wall-mounted Ethernet port).
Square is not interested in using anyone but Star. And their attitude is that they frankly don’t care. I know, I have emails from them about it. If I was to guess, I would bet they have a deal with Star that funds their (insert pizza parties, to silk pockets). But lets be realistic. I mean it has to be something viable, right? The fact that Star uses the same print protocals that Epson uses has no bearing on an Epson receipt printer not working. It goes in the same line as Android devices can’t use bluetooth devices… although that new chip reader is bluetooth. It is a lack of customer service and they need to step up to the plate, or someone is going to come along and take their business away from them.
Atm it’s cheaper for me to use something else other than square, than to change the printer tablet setup. It appears other people have similar issues. Square managment need to grasp the economics here of only catering to a small hardware segment(Star printers) of the market, while marketing themselves as a simple DIY eftpos POS for small businesses, who burn themselves on compatability issues. Hopefully Square can solve this issue.

UPDATE: August 14, 2016 – Still no issues with printing. There is a slight delay, about five seconds, between completing the transaction and printing the receipt. This could very well be an issue using Square Payment Systems, and not really the printer and the IPad that I’ve linked it to for Square sales. The printer does lose its Bluetooth connection when I move the IPad to the next room, which is expected, but it often does not “find” and then “pair” again without me going through the printer’s pairing process again. For that reason, I’m lowering my star rating from five to four. In the scheme of things, this is just a minor inconvenience and the printer quality more than makes up for any issues with pairing from time to time.
In this example, our printer is connected to 192.168.1.3 according to the printout shown above, and our iPad is connected to 192.168.1.2, which indicates both are on the same network. Proceed to step 4 below.
I bought this to work with my Lightspeed POS system. I checked the list of systems it would not work with and it was not on there. I inserted the so called “Installation Disk” and it was just a handful of random pictures. There was a girl in a field and some flowers. There were no other instructions. When I plugged it in ,y laptop starting installing it, it showed up on my printers but as a local usb and when I would try to print from it, it would not show up on the printers list. I tried to call the actual company that makes the printers and unless you use their POS system they will not help you. I have tried several printer to try to get them to work and it has been a nightmare. I would not suggest buying this printer unless you are using the revel systems POS.
Fully mobile receipt printers are very useful for on the go receipt printing applications such as deliveries, conventions, or craft fairs.  These mobile printers generally use receipt paper that is 2 inches wide with a smaller core.   Check the printer accessories for compatible thermal receipt paper.
I just built a gaming computer from parts I ordered from Newegg. I placed several orders, bought all different products. Everything I ordered came quickly, was obviously brand new and un-opened, and at a great price. I have been dealing with Newegg for MANY years and not once have I been disappointed. I don’t even look anywhere else. When you have found the best, why try the rest ? Thank you Newegg for always hooking me up !
As a bluetooth only device, it is a bit glitchy. If you are wanting to use it with a phone/tablet only as a standalone device, look elsewhere. The miura m010 reader works great for this, though is unfortunately not available on amazon.
Before beginning, you will need WiFi at your location and access to the router. These printers are not wireless and must be plugged into a router via physical ethernet connection in order to connect wirelessly with the iPad.
The printer is fine but bluetooth connectivity has been an incredible challenge. We have probably wasted 20 hours wrestling with it in the few weeks we have had it. The Starprint utility can say it is not connected when it is … and vice versa. The Bluetooth says it is not connected yet we can print a receipt from the register. The delay communicating via bluetooth means we have to leave a key in teh till drawer rather than wait for it to eventually open even though we have adjusted the utility and timing. So, while the printer is fine, don’t go bluetooth because you can’t use a cable even if you want to as there’s no socket …. just bluetooth ! So, buy a cable printer version and be happier !
If you accept credit card payments from your customers at your place of business, you’ll want a receipt printer. A receipt printer automatically prints a receipt for your customer when they make a purchase.

Hi @McNabbGames — I went ahead and combined your thread with another seller’s who had a similar question. I can assure you that we’re always looking into more affordable hardware options for our sellers. As for the technical explanation, from my limited understanding (I’m not an engineer), each printer manufacturer has a specific driver for their hardware, and since manufacturers don’t build printer drivers for Square Point of Sale, we would have to build one for each printer model – which is something we don’t have the bandwidth to do.
