Bought this strictly to print receipts with the Amazon Local Register iPad App and card reader, as it is the only receipt printer supported at this time by that platform. (Bought it used via an Amazon re-seller; works perfectly. It was easy to set up on the network using the downloadable Windows software. Once set up, my iPad and the Amazon Local Register app found the printer and linked to it easily. I haven’t tried using any of the other options (like printing our logo or printing coupons), but for what I bought it for it works perfectly. It prints extremely fast and clearly. The cutter works well, too. It is nice that it can be mounted to a vertical surface if desired.

Works as advertised. No on/off switch. It instantly wakes up when I run the Square register app on our IPAD Air 2 POS with the Square stand. The printing is fast and easily readable. It is very nice when the combination of products (I.E. Square Stand, Square Register, IPAD Air 2 and this printer) works so well together.

The last printer lasted us around 1.5 years and the power broke but i think it broke because it was dropped. Cant complain wish it was color but it does the job and thats what i needed. If you looking for portable and good printer this is.
If you want an extremely portable model that fits in your pocket and connects to iOS, Android, and Windows devices this is the way to go. For connecting with mobile devices you’ll need an app if you want to print receipts, and for Windows computers you’ll need to download a driver and connect it via USB.
I never imagine it could be this easy to do the set up. All you need to do is follow the manual. I looked into Amazon for weeks until I decided to purchase this printer which featuring all connection types with a very satisfying price. I would recommended this to anyone who is looking for a cheap and well-performance portable printer.
The printer uses ZINK (Zero Ink) printing technology which prints using colorful dye-based crystals embedded within the paper. This is great since there is no ink to buy, nor does it suffer from ink drying up like inkjet printers. When printing, the printer uses heat to activate and colorize the crystals, and prints in a resolution up to 314 x 400 dpi. It has a paper tray capacity of 10 sheets.
The Kitchen Buzzer is designed to connect directly to the RJ11 port on the back of your TSP100 printer. When a print job is sent to the printer, the buzzer will sound off. Great for high noise environments like kitchens to alert cooks that orders have been sent to them.

@epictattoo, you may need to force quit the Square app and then re-open it. Or uninstall the app from your iPad and then reinstall it. That can often reset the connection so Register is recognized. So let me get this straight; after I email/text the customer the receipt I should then email it to myself and then print it from my email (after formatting if I like)? Can’t I just print from the app without buying a special credit card printer? Guess not…

Highest marks on the TSP100III because of the multi-platform adoption and performance. This printer works with Windows, does Star and Epson emulations (set in driver), but the ethernet version is the most commonly used printer with iOS point of sale applications (Star, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch). Along with it’s 10+ ips print speed it is a great overall printer that will fit most point of sale printing needs.

Want to use your iPhone as a point-of-sale (POS) system for your business? Getting started is easy, and processing transactions isn’t rocket science either. But with the plethora of mobile credit card processors available, the biggest challenge is choosing which one is right for your business.
My husband and I purchased this for our new business we started at the end of last summer. It has done everything we need it to do. We have our account liked to a Quick Books account, and that makes things really handy when preparing our quarterly taxes. We love the graphics and tracking of revenue. The app is easy to navigate and use- it’s a great system, and we are pleased with our purchase and its performance.
There was a lot of negative reviews on the app that apparently made it unusable or clunky to use but they have a new app or updated version following the bad reviews. Look for ‘Polaroid Zip’ app which worked fine for me printing over 20 photos in multiple sessions for my scrapbook.
Diversify your payment options with credit card terminals that integrate easily into your existing system. Whether you run a full retail empire or an individual operation, find a model that suits your payment volume. Choose from a range of connection types from brands such as PayPal and LoopPay.
‘Cute’ is how you would likely be defining it. But don’t go by its looks alone. It is a useful photo printer. The Photobee can print at 2.3″ x 3.5″ special Photobee stick back paper at a resolution of 310 DPI. That being the highest in the business.
The TSP143III is the faster, easier, and better POS printing solution. Already a leading player in the mPOS market, Star Micronics’ TSP143III is offered with WLAN, LAN, Bluetooth, or USB interface connection for an easy-to-use and ready-to-go installation. The TSP143III now offers a web configuration page for the WLAN and LAN TSP143III printers, a simpler wat for all devices to connect to the WLAN printer for set-up with AP mode, an easy Bluetooth pairing connection, and a “plug and play” USB connection. For the USB version, there will be a new USB serial number feature so the PC will detect the TSP143IIIU on its Windows platform using any USB port. The new thermal receipt printer is an upgrade of the TSP100, printing at almost twice the speed with a special de-curl function, and it fully compatible with its previous version, requiring no additional integration or development.
If you’re looking for a way to accept mobile payments with your iPhone without having to actually swipe a credit card, then you’re in luck: There’s an app for that. Instead of forcing you to deal with clunky credit card readers and dongles, some credit card processing apps simply use the iPhone’s camera. This method can work in several ways, such as by capturing a photo of the credit card, scanning the credit card number or reading a quick-response (QR) code.
I already had the square reader and just was tired of it being in other spots or being charged. The dock was a great addition to the square stand and the printer. Very easy to use. Just attach to the square stand and put the reader in. The dock has weight to it so i dont have to worry about it falling especially in the spot i put it. Definitely reccomend
I just purchased a Square Stand yesterday and am new to this, but am having a similar issue. My Stand (for ipad Air) will charge my ipad and the ipad recognizes the stand, but the Register app won’t recognize that the stand is connected and it won’t read cards. Trying to decide whether to return it immediately. Is it defective or am I doing something wrong?
The SM-L200 has some industry’s first features such like Bluetooth 4.0 communication and a 5V charge. Bluetooth 4.0 is a method of communication which uses the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and allows users to communicate with iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) without MFi certification and configure Bluetooth connection (pairing) more easily. Its convenient 5V PC or smartphone charging via a Micro USB cable, which is normally used for consumer products such like smartphones, eliminates a need of the dedicated charging adapter and allows users to charge easily via a charger for a smartphone, a USB port of PC and a portable battery for a cell phone. The SM-L200 realizes the lowest price among Star portable printers and targets customers who focus on “low cost and high functionality” more than “print speed and communication speed”.
Amongst the most popular of Epson products is the TM-T88V receipt printer. The bluetooth interface-enabled version of the TM-T88V is the C31CA85955. In the world of thermal receipt printing, the TM-T88V is an example of excellence beyond which you don’t need to look much further (if you have the budget for it).
An update 11/21/15 Had it working fine with Amazon local register until Amazon shut it down, so bought the PayPal chip and card reader- the updated paypal iOs app will not print to this printer. (iOs 9.1/ iPad 3). The workaround I found was to turn this printer in to an airprint printer- it’s a bit of a hack, instructions are out there, problem being you must have a host computer on the network. To be clear- this is a PayPal issue- not a fault of the printer.

For this particular setup, you’ll need to create a printer station. Printer stations let you designate specific tasks for your printers, like printing receipts, tickets, or stubs. With your printer plugged in, go to Settings, Printers, and Create Printer Station. Enter a printer station name. Now select what you’d like your printer to print. Make sure you select at least one option. Then tap the printer selection menu and select your printer. Test your printer by tapping Test Print. Then, tap Save. Your printer station settings are now saved and can be applied to any connected printer.
