The latest Star TSP143IIIW Wireless LAN Receipt printer offers simple, yet effective built in wireless communication. The TSP143III WLAN supports 802.11b/g/n – 2.4GHz with an easy-to-use & ready-to-go set-up.
We first bought the Wifi model and couldn’t get the manufacturer or Square to figure out how to make the two communicate, even though it’s supposed to be supported. We were told to return that and switch to this blue tooth model. Now this one won’t communicate with Square either. It’s the only receipt printer that Square publishes it supports. We don’t have any odd setup, all brand new peripheral equipment, new iPad, Square stand/Register. Hours on support with both and no resolution to date.
This printer comes with a disk. If you are using it with an Ipad, the disk is useless. The only thing I am disappointed with at this point is that I can not print by business logo on my receipts. This is not a downfall of the printer but the program that I am using. This printer prints the business logo ‘”IF” you are using a Mac or Windows based POS system.

@Hablasdemi Hmmm that is a bit strange. Usually the troubleshooting resolves connectivity issues with the Receipt Printers. Reach out to our Support Team and they can walk through a few more steps with you.
With both printers you will need to use Epson’s Bluetooth Pairing Utility (Bluetooth Connector V 2.0) instead of the standard printer driver package. The setup process is fairly straight forward with the step by step instructions available for download here. By default your pairing code is ‘0000’, but for security reasons you may want to change that.

UPDATE: August 14, 2016 – Still no issues with printing. There is a slight delay, about five seconds, between completing the transaction and printing the receipt. This could very well be an issue using Square Payment Systems, and not really the printer and the IPad that I’ve linked it to for Square sales. The printer does lose its Bluetooth connection when I move the IPad to the next room, which is expected, but it often does not “find” and then “pair” again without me going through the printer’s pairing process again. For that reason, I’m lowering my star rating from five to four. In the scheme of things, this is just a minor inconvenience and the printer quality more than makes up for any issues with pairing from time to time.

A simple print button on the tablet application would allow us to connect to a local or network printer and print the same form data. Why is this still impossible? Why can we still not utilize our desktop or local printers to print receipt data from the app?
